Originally from Hong Kong, Frankie has proudly called Ireland home for over 40 years — bringing with him more than 50 years of experience in Chinese cuisine.
A Lifelong Passion for Food
Food has always been at the heart of Frankie's life.
Inspired by his Hong Kong heritage, he has spent decades developing and perfecting recipes that combine authentic flavours with fresh, natural ingredients.
His philosophy has always been simple: great food should be full of flavour, made with quality ingredients and prepared with care.
A Familiar Face in Sligo
Frankie has also played a long-standing role in Sligo's Chinese food scene.
Over the years, he has owned and operated a number of successful restaurants and takeaways throughout the area — including the well-known Dragon House Restaurant in Sligo, and more recently, Jade Garden Oriental Restaurant in Strandhill.
Generations of customers have enjoyed Frankie's cooking, and many of the recipes he has developed and perfected throughout his career.
Why So Sauces?
After decades in the restaurant and takeaway business, Frankie wanted to give his customers the chance to recreate some of their favourite flavours in their own kitchens.
From this idea, So Sauces was born — proudly named after Frankie himself, and created to bring his authentic, homemade sauces from his kitchen to homes across Ireland.
Frankie's Signature Curry Sauce
The first product from the So Sauces range is Frankie's Authentic Chinese Curry Sauce — a recipe perfected over many years and a firm customer favourite.
Made using carefully selected natural ingredients, the sauce makes it incredibly simple to create a rich, creamy Chinese curry sauce at home in just a few minutes.
Simply add your favourite chicken, beef, seafood or vegetables, or pour it generously over freshly cooked chips for that unmistakable Chinese curry experience at home.
The Next Chapter
For Frankie, So Sauces represents the next chapter in a journey that began in Hong Kong more than five decades ago.
It brings together his heritage, his lifetime of experience in Chinese cooking, and his deep connection with Sligo — sharing the recipes and flavours his customers have loved for generations with kitchens across Ireland.
